Ma's Hellfire Pasta

This is has been a long time family favourite. A spicy, creamy chicken pasta. Enjoy!!!
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • button mushrooms
  • red or green bell pepper
  • chicken - cut into strips
  • 2 cloves garlic - crushed
  • one medium onion -finely chopped
  • chicken stock
  • crème freche (or single cream)
  • jalapenos (I use them from a jar and they work just as good as fresh, if not better)
Method
  1. Fry the peppers, onion and musrooms till softened.
  2. Add the garlic, chicken and jalapenos and continue to cook till the chicken starts going brown and is cooked through.
  3. Add chicken stock and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add the crème freche (or cream) along with grated cheese and cook for a couple of minutes until warmed through.
  5. Add seasoning to taste and serve with a healthy sized portion of tagliatelle.
