I searched high and low to find an authentic and lovely tasting kebab shop chilli sauce. The one I am sharing with you today tastes amazing and even works as a dip for crisps (I highly recommend sensations poppadum style).
Ingredients
1 Tin Chopped tomatoes
1 Large onion
4 Cloves of garlic
50ml White wine vinegar (or other distilled vinegar .. probably not malt)
3 tsp Mint sauce
Fresh Chilli - As many as you dare. I find it works great with one really hot chilli (e.g scotch bonnet) and 3 or 4 milder regular chillies
Directions are simple, just put all the ingredients in a food processor and blitz it up. I sometimes leave out the mint sauce so it can be used as a dip. If I am having this with my homemade kebabs though then I add plenty of mint sauce :)
